Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Peace to you in the name of Lord Jesus Christ! The brothers representing churches and fellowships on the West Coast gathered last September. Thanks to the Lord's guidance, decisions have been made on the theme of the WCCC-2007, the speakers, the time, and the location. The time will be from July 25 to 29, 2007. The location will be BIOLA University in Los Angeles. The theme will be "Conformed to the Image of His Son" (Romans 8:29). The theme speakers will be Brothers Stephen Kaung, Lance Lambert, and Christian Chen. There will be additional workshops on practical applications of the theme to daily life and service, to be organized by Brothers Kwok-Hin Wong, Godwin Sun, and Dana Congdon.
When the West Coast brothers sought the Lord for a theme, the Lord gave us a deep burden. In the past two years at the conference, the Lord's word showed us that the cross was the way to the eternal purpose of God. It also encouraged us to walk in the way of the cross. Many brothers and sisters were illuminated and encouraged, willing to let the Lord's word lead us forward by another step. Thanks to the Lord, this time He has given us this theme: to be conformed to the image of His Son.
We ask brothers and sisters to remember this theme and pray for ourselves as well as for the church. Ask the Lord to open his word to us in the coming months, so that we will heed this word, and to grant us a willing spirit to experience this word. The more we pray in a real and earnest way, the more we will benefit in a real way at the conference. Our wish is that, at the end of the conference, this word would take hold of every brother and sister that we are willing indeed to be conformed in our life and service to the image of His son.
In addition, brothers and sisters, please pray for the speakers and their messages, and for the brothers and sisters who are preparing for the conference. May the Lord keep them faithful and give them strength.
